Practice Areas
Katie
M. Clancy practices law in the areas of business, employment and estate planning law. Katie routinely
advises business clients on corporate, lease and contract negotiations, employment and employee benefit compliance
matters, including issues regarding COBRA, FMLA, ADA, QDROs, 401(k) Plan compliance, and termination issues. She
also develops and implements policies and procedures regarding employment, employee relations, employee benefit plan administration
and contract administration. Consulting is also a large aspect of Katie's practice. Guiding business owners
through compliance issues and applying efficient operational aspects to business operations is a niche.

Century Tile, Homemade Pizza Company, Sarah's Pastries and Candies, The Institute for Personal Development,
Motion Medical Technology, Orthoflex, Inc., and Healthcare Language Services, LLC.

two internships with The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, in its Human Resources Services Department. During
law school, Katie completed a Judicial externship with Federal Judge Ronald Guzman of the U.S. District Court for the
Northern District of Illinois.

Katie is a member of the Chicago Bar Association
(CBA) and directs the John Marshall Law School Employee Benefits Law Alumni Group. Katie served on
the Board of Directors for the Prairie Club of Chicago, a non-profit conservation organization with over one thousand
active members. She is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Minnesota.
