Practice Areas
Annika Mitchell focuses her practice in the areas of estate planning and business law.  In the area of estate planning, Annika prepares wills, trust agreements, and powers of attorney.  She works closely with clients to understand their objectives and to plan for their futures accordingly.  Annika also prepares corporate agreements and other regulatory documents, forming and incorporating new companies.  She also drafts employee manuals.

Previous Experience
Prior to joining Clancy and Associates, Annika worked for an information technology firm, drafting, negotiating, and managing IT outsourcing agreements valued at $100M and above.  Prior to her admittance to the Bar, Annika worked as a writer, editor, and communications manager in the corporate communications department of a global Fortune 250 company, headquartered in Chicago.

Professional Associations and Community Activity
Annika is licensed to practice law in Illinois.  She is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and serves on the Young Lawyers Section - Estate Planning Committee.  In addition, Annika volunteers at Chicago Legal Advocacy for Incarcerated Mothers (CLAIM), Our Lady of the Altgeld Gardens School, Saint Michael's Church in Old Town, and Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control.  She also serves as Vice President of her condominium board and is a member of the Professional Women's Club of Chicago.   

Education
Annika received her J.D. from John Marshall Law School in Chicago and her B.A. in English Literature from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana.
